Our Wound-Care Product Categories
Our products are available only to licensed healthcare providers and ship directly to your clinic. We describe each category by product type and composition, and each product by its manufacturer labeling. Specific products, sizes, pricing and availability are shared once we know what your practice uses. Ask us for the manufacturer's labeling (IFU or product sheet) for products we supply. Manufacturer labeling lists the indications and, where provided, contraindications, warnings and precautions.
Clinical decisions, medical necessity, coding and billing remain with the provider. Coding and billing are the provider's responsibility; coverage varies by payer.
Amniotic and placental products (HCT/P)
Regulatory category: HCT/Ps (human cells, tissues and cellular and tissue-based products) regulated by FDA under 21 CFR Part 1271, as stated in the manufacturer IFUs.
What they are: Donated human amniotic membrane allografts. Per the manufacturer IFUs, the allograft serves as a barrier and provides protective covering for the wound. Formats in the manufacturer IFUs include amnion, intermediate layer and chorion; dual-layer amnion; and single-layer amnion, in multiple sizes.
Handling: Single-patient use. Store at ambient temperature; follow each IFU.
Who they're for: Licensed providers covering acute and chronic wounds with a barrier product, per the manufacturer IFU.

Advanced wound-care devices (510(k))
Regulatory category: Cleared through the FDA 510(k) process as medical devices. See each manufacturer's IFU.
What they are:
Collagen-derivative device: Absorbable wound device made of a collagen derivative (gelatin), Manuka honey and hydroxyapatite. Intended use: to cover and protect the wound, absorb wound exudate, and provide and maintain a moist wound environment.
Synthetic matrices: Sterile, single-use absorbent polymeric wound matrices of bioresorbable polyvinyl alcohol with a silver-containing surface coating. Per the IFU, the matrix contains silver only to prevent or minimize microbial growth within the matrix. One version also contains lidocaine hydrochloride USP.
Who they're for: Licensed providers managing partial- and full-thickness wounds under healthcare professional supervision, per each product's IFU.
Note: Per the manufacturer IFUs, some devices are contraindicated for patients with sensitivity to porcine-derived materials, collagen, honey, silver or lidocaine. See each manufacturer's IFU.
Wound cleansing and debridement
Regulatory category: FDA 510(k)-cleared medical device.
What it is: The system delivers low-frequency ultrasound to the treatment site using a noncontact fluid (e.g., saline). Per the manufacturer's labeling, the system is used for wound cleansing and maintenance debridement. See the IFU for the full indications for use. Per the manufacturer's labeling, the treatment wand and applicator should not contact the skin.
Who it's for: For use by or on the order of a licensed healthcare practitioner, per the manufacturer's labeling.
Note: Contraindications include use near electronic implants, over a pregnant uterus or the lower back during pregnancy, and over malignancies. See the manufacturer IFU.
